The registration forms are coming in! Get yours in today. This 3 day camp June 30, July 1, and July 2 is going to be fun-filled and jam packed! We have Filipo Caro coming to our camp who is a Sports Specialist with his very own Soccer Academy. He has been running camps all throughout Greenwich for the last 10 years. We are going to have the children in small groups rotating through all the fun events we have planned such as soccer, basketball, parachute, water games, a faith lesson, and much more! Snack will be provided! Children should come with sunscreen on and a labeled water bottle. Although, You should have no worries because there will be tents with shaded areas and water coolers set up all over the place. Once registered letters will go our to the parents explaining everything that they need to make their time at camp pleasant. Keep the lookout for our signs that are going to be put up all around Greenwich May 10to the 16 and when you see one, Remember to Register and tell a friend.

Volunteers are needed. Teenager and tweens can be counselors and assistant counselors. These hard working volunteers will receive community service hours too which is always a plus!

Registration Forms

There must be one form filled out per child. We are a very welcoming so please stop by and request a tour if it is your first time at Second Congregational . What a lovely exterior and interior we have! Not only, but have you seen our campus?! It is breathtaking.

Camp Dates have changed!

The Board of Ed made the decision that the final day of public school for children in the town of Greenwich will be June 29th and Glenville school will do a half day on June 30th. Therefore, we will have our camp on June 30th, July 1st and July 2nd. So we went to 3 days but that shouldnt matter because we will pack in even more fun!

Will power outages effect the camp dates?

Last week Greenwich had a storm that was responsible for so much destruction in town. Power outages were huge across Fairfield county. Greenwich Public Schools were closed the entire week of March 15th - 19th 2010. My question this week is "will Greenwich Schools add on days to the end of the school year?" If so, kids will still be in school during our scheduled camp. This Thursday, March 25th the Board of education has a meeting at 7 pm to discuss this and hopefully come to a conclusion. I am anticipating the news! Till next time.

Introducing Our New Sports Camp at Second Congregational Church in Greenwich CT

Need somewhere for your kids to get excercise, develop their beliefs, strengthen leadership and team mate skills? Tired of seeing your child in front of the TV and video games constantly? I have the perfect idea for you! Register your child this summer at Second Congregational's Sports camp. We are going to have a faith based camp focusing on soccer and basketball instruction for children ages 4 to 5th grade. This camp will be held the week of June 28th to July 2nd from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. The cost is 50 dollars per child. Check back at this blog so you can hear all about our preparations for this camp.
